Art Contest Extension

Calling All Student Visual Artists and Graphic Designers! Would you like to get your work published and build your portfolio? Then SESAT wants You!

First, we are looking for a fresh look for our 18th Annual Holiday Craft Fair and Silent Auction and would love to showcase your work! In the past, we have used a winter holiday celebration motif, but this is not a requirement. Feel free to be as creative as you wish, in fact, you can even come up with a new name. Your work must be able to be re-sized and translated into a 11×17 poster, various sized newspaper ads, 8×11 flyers and silent auction forms. This is the single largest fundraising event of the year for SESAT, which annually donates nearly $6,000 to each of our major departments. The event will be held on November 22 from 10 -3. We have wonderful community artisans and craft vendors with one of a kind gifts, great silent auction items and the day also includes a bake sale and food court. The deadline for this project is June 23 and there is a cash prize of $50 for the winning design. Artists will be given attribution wherever possible.

Second we are looking for a creative cover for an ESA calendar and other art to be considered for calendar pages or future SESAT projects. The calendar will be approximately 5×7, like your student agenda. The cover design could be either horizontal or vertical. The deadline for this is June 23 and there will be a prize of $25 for any artwork used. Again artists will be given attribution wherever possible.

Competition artwork can be done in Photoshop or Illustrator, then converted to a pdf file and submitted to sesat@esainfo.ca. The final files must be produced in layers as copy will be added or deleted based on end use for the Craft Fair and Calender Cover. For the calendar pages only, we may be able to use a scan or photo of your original artwork. If you have any questions, please email this address or call 647-344-2730. Initial awards will be made by June 25.

Thanks, in advance! We can’t wait to see your work. Good luck!
