Athletic Assembly

Please join us in the gymnasium June 7th at lunch to celebrate another great year of athletics at ESA! Individual awards will be handed out and then pizza to follow. After awards and pizza, each ESA Team will compete in a dodgeball tournament.

Student Athlete Transfers

If your child is in grade 10-12 and has recently transferred to ESA, they will need to fill out some very important transfer papers to be eligible to participate on a school sports team. Please send them to the P.E. office, just outside the gymnasium and one of our Physical Educators will help them with the forms.

Athletic Award Assembly

Come celebrate the 7 sports banners that the Eagles won this year! The Assembly will take place June 7th in the gym after school. Pizza and refreshments to follow.

ESA Girls Rugby 7s advance to City Championship

The Girls Rugby Team have qualified for the City Championship that will take place on October 21st at Don Mills C.I. The Girls did this in convincing fashion as they went 12 and 1 on the season. They went undefeated in 2 days of tournament play.  Their only loss was to a very strong side in the semi finals of a very challenging Tournament. The Lady Eagles go into the City Championship with a number 1 seed and will face a very tough Malvern Team in the quarter finals.

Athletic Awards and Goodbye to Coach Hilborn

The Athletic Awards will be given out on Wednesday, June 3rd At 3:30 in the Gymnasium. Please feel free to come on out and say good bye to Coach Hilborn who will be attending his last awards assembly as a Teacher and Coach at ESA. The better part of his career was spent at ESA and he has now decided that; “It is a great day to retire.” Pizza and refreshments to follow. Also a challenge game between the boys and girls soccer teams will take place on the field after the awards.

Big Win for ESA Eagles

The Senior Boys Soccer Team soared above the competition in today’s season opener. The won 5-0 over York Memorial. Jake LeBlanc lead the way with 3 goals and Jacob Edwards secured a clean sheet. It was truly a great team effort. Way to go Eagles!

Spring Sports at ESA

It will be a very busy spring season for ESA in the Sporting World. Seven teams will be representing the Eagles in the following sports; Girls Slow Pitch, Boys Baseball, Track and Field, Ultimate Frisbee, Girls Soccer and 2 Boys Soccer Teams. Go Eagles!

Another Sports Championship!

The Junior Girls Volleyball team finished the season as Tier 2 Champions!! Mrs. Fairclough and Mme Philippe are so proud of the girls!!

Girls Hockey Championship!

The ESA Eagles won the Girls Tier 2 Hockey Championship last week. They beat East York C.I. 2-1 in overtime! ESA would like to thank the two Dad’s, Mike McCutcheon and Chris Tabbitt for coaching the Girls this year.  A 2015 Championship Banner will look lovely in the Gymnasium.
