Attention photography, film and visual arts students -BROOKS INSTITUTE in California will be visiting ESA May 7th

Nomi Morris, Program Chair for Visual Journalism at Brooks Institute in California, will give a special presentation on careers in photography and digital media to students, staff and guests on Tuesday May 7th at 11:28-12;30 in the library. Earlier this month Javier Manzano, a former student of Morris’ college program, won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. Brooks Institute has been a leader in educating professional photographers from around the world for 68 years. In addition to Photography, and the Visual Journalism program, Brooks also grants degrees in Film and Graphic Design.
Here is the link: www.brooks.edu

Morris will be showing examples of student work, saying a few words about multimedia journalism and the photography business today, and opening up for questions and discussion about visual media arts and how creative students can earn a living from what they are passionate about.

Visual Art – Thank you everyone

Congratulations to the entire community in your ongoing and invaluable support of our kids. This month ESA Visual Art and Photography will be exhibiting on three continents and in four countries, including the two most important art centres in the world. We will participate in the largest photography festival on the planet, and hang our strongest show yet to open at the school on May 23.

ESA Visual Art Parent Council will be an exciting opportunity to become more directly engaged with our community. We would love to have you join us on May 15 at 7.30pm in the library to build on what we have.

I am honoured and blessed to be associated with such integrity and beauty. Thank you!
