Great Soup! Cooks wanted…

Thanks to those who have already signed up to cook and/or bake and/or help out on Monday November 3rd.

Thinking about it… but not signed on yet?  No worry… We’re still looking for additional cooks and/or bakers for our first Great Soup event of this school year.

***********************

Great Soup is back. Join us for a community luncheon on Monday November 6th.  All members of the ESA Community are welcome.

We have a tradition of serving community luncheons twice a year. Members of the ESA school community cook and bake – mostly vegetarian and vegan fare – and serve up a feast in the Library. This is consistently one of the most anticipated events of the school year.

On average we serve over 125 people an all you can eat lunch of homemade salads, soups, breads and goodies. For $6 per person, it’s hard to resist.  $5 with a donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

If you would like to contribute food to this luncheon, please fill out the form below. You will be contacted by someone to go over the necessary details.

Thank you for interest and support.

Please fill out this Google Form if you are able to cook or bake or help out the day of.

Bravo Academy – Auditions for Spring Production

Bravo Academy is currently seeking male and female dancers for their Spring Production of On the Town

The program begins in January, so they are looking to book auditions in November and December. Video Submissions are accepted as well via email to [email protected].

Interested?  See the poster for further details.

Please note that ESA and the TDSB have not vetted this opportunity.  We are merely providing you with the information.

INTERNET ACCESS at ESA on Thursday October 26th

All Staff and students are advised and/or reminded – again – that there will  be no wired or wireless network access at ESA during the school day tomorrow, Thursday October 26th.

This means

·         NO Internet access

·         NO access to Home Drives or Google Drives

·         NO access to Shared Drives

·         NO access to Academic Workspace

These restrictions are in place for the day while ESA is changed over the new Bell Wide Area Network.

·         This is a case of short term pain for long term gain.

·         After the conversation we should see significant increases in our network speed here at ESA.

PLAN accordingly as it relates to any work which may be due to teachers tomorrow…

  • You will not be able to access your work – or print – for the duration of the downtime.

We don’t know exactly what time they are taking us offline, or how long it will take, so best to prepare for the worst case scenario which is all day…

Please join other parents who have donated to our upcoming Silent Auction!

Hello and thanks to those parents and guardians who have generously donated services, products, gift baskets of items, show tickets (Mirvish, Massey Hall, TSO etc) and sports tickets (Leafs, Raptors and Toronto Rock)  – we appreciate it greatly.

If anyone else is able to add to our incredible list of silent auction items, we would happy to accept your offer! We are seeking Rounds of Golf for the 2018 season, a weekend getaway at a hotel, spa or cottage (do you have a hidden haven you wish to share?).    Please message us at [email protected]

In a short couple of weeks, you will see invites to view our items in our online catalogue AND to bid on a select range of items in an Online Auction that will run for a week before the live event on Saturday November 18th starting at 10am!

Looking forward to seeing you participate in this wonderful event.
