I would like to inform all of our students and their families that there were two robberies in our neighbourhood last week. One happened on Prince Edward Boulevard and the other around Dundas and Islington. Students from two neighbouring schools were approached, shown a weapon and robbed of their electronic devices. I’ve called our Liaison Officer and Major Crimes at 22 Division and both said that there is an ongoing investigation and that we should remind students to be vigilant of their surroundings (as they and we should always be).
I have also made an announcement at school to inform students of this situation in the neighbourhood.
As you know, our school is located in a great community, but we still need to be thoughtful as we go about our day-to-day business.
