Summer Camps

Read below for details on great student summer opportunities at ESA for grades 6-9 in dance, musical theater, art and film.

Lens Flare Film Camp July 8-12

Lens Flare is a five day intensive program where teens write, shoot, edit and produce their own films. Each day will bring a combination of fun filmmaking adventures and workshops led by engaging and experienced camp counselors. By the end of the session, each filmmaker will work towards making one or two films to showcase in a public screening for family and friends on the last day of camp. All Filmmakers will also be part of our 24 hour film competition. More information can be found here https://lensflarecamp.blogspot.ca/

Summer Art Camp

The 2019 Summer Art Camp is a condensed version of our globally recognized, award-winning program. It serves as an introduction for those joining us this September, and is a great opportunity for those wondering what the art program is like at ESA, and those who may be thinking of auditioning.

Summer Art Camp provides the opportunity to become acquainted with future classmates and learn about the expectations and patterns of our program. It is run by the head of the Contemporary Art Department, with a number of our current and former students.

Feedback from parents has encouraged us to make Art Camp an annual event. Friendships form in that week, and a sense of belonging begins to develop in a place that can seem intimidating without an introduction. Summer Art Camp provides the opportunity to work with like minded people and explore a range of approaches and materials over the week of July 8-12. Suitable for those in or entering grades 8-10. They will have the opportunity to choose electives such as yoga, acting for film, voice over animation, stage combat, and vocal work. We encourage our dancers to also embrace the art of singing, so they can expand their career options! You will be so excited to work with a live percussionist during your technique classes and this nurturing environment will allow you to grow as a person and passionate artist.
