I am currently writing a new elective course open to all grade 11 and 12 students at ESA, which will launch this September. The course, entitled Acting for the Camera, will encompass some history of the form, what actors can expect to experience on a television or film set, how to act for camera (dependent on media), how to audition for television and film work, plus case studies and readings from celebrated and experienced actors and directors. I am seeking, from our valuable and valued parent advocates, individuals with connections to the television and film industry who are willing to advise me on keeping the course current and relevant.
