Matthew Varey Exhibition

Please join us for the opening of Matthew Varey’s exhibition System One at United Contemporary, 1444 Dupont Street Unit 22 on Saturday December 8 from 2 to 6 pm.

We are hoping to sell some art work and raise money for the purchase of a new vehicle to continue driving ESACA student work to shows, pick up supplies and donations etc. We would love to see you all there.

The exhibition is open December 8, 9, 15 and 16 from noon to 6pm.

Grand Prize

Huge congratulations to ESACA Grade 12 student Isabella Vella on winning the Grand Prize at the 2018 Arts Etobicoke Juried Exhibition. Isabella will have a solo exhibition at Arts Etobicoke in the new year.

This award follows on the heals of winning Best In Grade at the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, where one of Isabella’s paintings (which also exhibited at the Albright Knox Gallery in Buffalo last year) was chosen as the single best grade 11 art work in the world, with an award given on stage at Carnegie Hall.

The two runners up awards also went to ESACA students – Juliet DiCarlo and Ella Webber!

Congratulations Isabella, Juliet, and Ella. We look forward to your future successes!

Arts Etobicoke Exhibition

This year’s Arts Etobicoke Juried Exhibition opens the evening of Wednesday November 14. Of the 15 artists chosen to participate in the exhibition, 10 are current ESACA students, and 1 of the remaining 5 is a graduate! Of the three awards given to participants this year, the grand prize and two runners up prizes, all 3 are going to our students!

We hope that you can make it out to the opening at 4893a Dundas Street West in Etobicoke, or drop by during the run of the exhibition until December 5.

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted this year!
