Library and The Walden Room Closures

The Walden Room is CLOSED for the entire week

Lest We Forget workshops: We are delighted to have Laura Freeman from the Toronto Public Library present the Lest We Forget workshops to all grade 10 history classes this week.

Closures on Monday October 29th and Tuesday October 30th  

The Library will be CLOSED all teaching periods except Period 2/6. The library will still be open before school, lunch and after school.

Closures on Thursday, November 1st and Friday, November 2nd

The library will be closed on Thursday during Period 4 and after school. Friday the library will be closed all day and reopen on Monday for regular library hours.

Join us for an informative evening of sharing and discussion on the pervasive influence of the Internet and social networking on our lives and the lives of our children.  Learn about the breadth and diversity of social networking as well about how our teens are using the internet not only as a positive resource but also the negative aspects.

Science Guest Speakers at Lunch Wednesday

Science Guest Speaker Lunch

Wednesday, February 26, in the Library

The ESA Science Department is hosting the first annual (?) “Science Speakers Lunch”, Wednesday at lunch in the library.

This year’s three professional scientist-speakers are:

* Dr. Mark Taylor, a chemistry professor at U of T
* Dr. Diane Pendlebury, an atmospheric physics research associate at U of T
* Bernardo Majano,  an engineer at R.V. Anderson Associates Ltd., who helped design and build the Behemoth at Canada’s Wonderland.

Interested students are invited to be in the library, with their lunches and questions, no later than 10 minutes into the lunch period.
