The Hearing Every Youth through Youth Helpline runs a support and referral telephone line, online chat and TTY. Service is available Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The youth volunteers are trained to deal with personal and social issues such as problems with friends and family, sexuality, racism, homophobia, and violence.
H.E.Y.Y. is currently looking for dedicated, open-minded youth over the age of 15 who would like to work as phone line volunteers or advisory board members. No experience is required and all necessary opportunities to develop skills is provided during their 13-week training process. Volunteers will be asked to commit to two 3 hour shifts per month and a training retreat.
